The BBQ sauce is made in house and is a secret recipe, it is phenomenal finger licking good!, portions are huge (served on a platter) and prices are very reasonable.
Drinks are the huge highlight of the place. Ellis Island brews its own beer blends; Beers varieties such as Light ,Weiss, Amber, Stout, IPA, Root Beer, and American Lager are the house’s specialty, and, less than $2.00 a pint you can have one of the best beer tastings ever!
The mixed drinks are fantastic, too.
It’s difficult to find a bar that serves them strong enough — yet not too strong — and tasty. The gin and tonics are some of the city’s best.
